We offer a comprehensive commercial refurbishment service right here in Central Scotland.  We champion the circular economy making our furniture and restoration a natural extension of our 40+ years of manufacturing.

At Calfurn , we believe great craftsmanship shouldn't end when a piece of furniture starts to show its age.  Across the UK, businesses, schools and public spaces are looking for sustainable, cost -effective alternatives to buying completely new fit-outs.   In line with the UK's growing circular economy, our refurb service allows your to restore, repair and upgrade your existing furniture at a fraction of the cost.  

Recently we refurbed over a 100+ pieces of  furniture itself over 100 years old.   Using a particular pre-cat lacquer offering a superior durability that creates a hard cross-lined finish together with highlighting the natural woodgrain.  It melts into previous layers smoothly and is easy to sand between coats.   Its highly versatile and works really well alongside existing wood stains, glazes and grain fillers.

The process starts with assessment to ensure we can refurb.   The move to purchase cheaper furniture can mean in the long term we cannot refurb hence the assessment.  Modular well manufactured furniture can often be reworked.    If necessary we can test and trial an item to ensure we can achieve the correct result.

If rework is an option there is Nae Waste.   We cut down your desk surfaces or repair where necessary.   All waste  wood is sent back to Egger which is recycled back into to the wood we purchase back.  All steelwork is locally recycled.   The dust from our extraction systems goes to local equestrian stables.   Simply nothing goes to landfill.   We feel pretty passionate and proud about this,
